Sally was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the tenth month of the demographic group Baby Boomer first year. Prior to her eleventh birthday her family moved into a large old home on Lake Minnetonka in Greenwood (Excelsior) Minnesota. For high school she returned to the Minneapolis area and graduated at the age of seventeen. After working at her first job in Minneapolis for six months and several promotions she found employment back in Excelsior. Her career was in the personal financing field and spanned fourteen years. Her position expanded to include several moves between company offices around the Twin Cities area. A job transfer on behalf of her husband's employer took the her, her husband and two sons to Reno, NV. There Sally was hired by a travel agency as their receptionist. During a strike at United Airlines she became a travel consultant by default. It was "default" of the airlines that had her making air travel reservations and hand writing airline tickets and typing up detailed itineraries. All before the advent of the computerization of retail travel agencies. Sally became a respected knowledgeable travel consultant and proficient on several airlines systems. After thirty-two years she retired from full time to become a part time training certification employee with Welcome Aboard Travel. She and her husband, Bob, now call Sun City Grand, an active-adult community developed by Del E. Webb home.
